Zipper Insertion Method From Interweave Knits: Picking Up Stitches Using A Tiny Latch Hook Needle Prior To Insertion.

Lorna in Australia posted this video on Ravelry and I think it's such a genius technique, I though I would share it here for you to see and experiment with.

Eunny Jang, editor of Interweave Knits demonstrates how to pick up stitches along the edge of the Zipper Tape prior to insertion, creating an edge of Slip Stitches using a fine latch hook needle.

You could experiment using a fine Crochet Hook or purchase one of these very fine size latch hook tools, which are available at most sewing notion stockists.

This allows an edge to come back to and either attach knitting to or to pick up along the zipper edge and work out. It's inspiring none the less. One more technique to add to my Zipper Insertion Class!

Happy knitting!

Patrick.
